ABOUT D&K ELECTRIC
A commercial electrician that knows the territory.
Founded in 1982, D&K Electric is a commercial electrical contractor based out of Remington, IN in Jasper County. We serve customers throughout north central Indiana, including Monticello and Rensselaer but with a special focus on the greater Lafayette, IN area.
But when say we know the territory, we’re referring to more than just the geography. We’ve got extensive experience taking care of a variety of electrical projects. For nearly 40 years, our customers have relied on us to steer a course and provide them with their electrical services so they can build a better tomorrow. Our experienced and nationally accredited team of professionals has developed standard practices that allow us to meet and exceed the promises we make.
D&K was founded by Dan Kilgus (on right). His sons, Aaron (middle) — who does estimating and drafting — and Trent (left) — who manages the projects — are co-owners.
Over D&K's decade's long history, the company has seen tremendous growth and evolution. The small farm jobs in the early days (done by just Dan and one employee) have given way to mostly large commercial electrical contracts executed by a well-trained, professionally accredited work force.
To accommodate their growing business, in 2021 D&K Electric greatly expanded their facility to provide additional storage for vehicles, equipment and parts.

The owners, Dan & Jenna Kilgus and their sons Aaron and Trent, are active supporters of their local communities, contributing time, money and services to Christian ministries, such as a providing electrical construction for a dairy in Haiti. They are also involved in community non-profits, the local school district and area festivals.
